How do I set environment variables in Leapord
I have the following line to ~.bash_profile in my home directory

    export PATH

It is the ONLY line in the file.

I saved the update to ~.bash_profile, quit terminal, and relaunched it. Then I type echo $PATH and I do not see the new path appended to the old.
