Hello guys,

What is a good C++ compiler to run on a Mac? I used to use the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 but my windows laptop died. I have Win XP installed on vmware fusion, but i want a C++ Compiler on my Mac...

any suggestions are appreciated!

Mac Specs: 2008 and 2011 15" mbps, late 11 iMac, iPhone 4s, and too many ipods and other stuff

Dysfunction is offline
if you need a visual editor, xcode, otherwise gcc is installed by default

hey mike, thanks for your reply. ok i downloaded the xcode. i copied and pasted my c++ source code from Microsoft Visual C++, and now how do i compile, build, execute?

sorry, i know this is a silly questions.

but, what i did was: Xcode > File > New File > C and C++ > C++ File
and I just pasted the source code into that file, saved - but cant find an option to compile/build/run
