I have firefox and flip4mac but I still cant seem to play embedded wmv files on a particular website, instead it just seems like the file is loading then after a while i get a question mark over the quicktime image.


Why is this? I've even tried downloading windows media player for mac and that didnt work.

also does anyone have a link to an embedded wmv so i can see whether its just this particular website or not.

I tried loading some and Silverlight (an MS addon similar to Flash) took over and started playing them fine in Safari.

Post a link for us to try. A common problem is that content providers will encode video with an unsupported codec, and even though it appears to be a .wmv file, it won't play thru Flip4Mac. Telestream is constantly trying to keep up with all these other codecs, but apparently that's an impossible task. I still run into several wmv links that will not play.
