So I'm trying to configure my router's firewall, and when I activate it I can't use Messenger for Mac. What port does this program use so I can open it? Thanks to anyone who can help.

When I connect to MSN with Adium, i'm pretty sure it uses port 1863. Go to Terminal and type

netstat

Look in the top for where it says something with msg and msn. Next, type

netstat -n

You'll get the foreign address and the portnumber is the number after the last period.
