How to shrink mp4

I have a video of me skydiving and put it on my macbook, but it is a big file. It is a .mp4, how do I shrink this file size?

Get a free copy of ffmpegXconverter. You can convert the file to any format and resize it.

Basically recompress it at a lower bitrate or downsize it to a lower resolution (or do both). There are many apps out there to do this and the reply above has mentioned one such app
