I'm a new mac user, i was just wondering if i could delete the downloaded .dmg file after installing the program ?
like, on windows, you download the .exe file , install the software and then you can just delete this downloaded .exe file (unless you wanna keep it for back up!)

You can do whatever you want with it. I usually tend to store them in a Downloads folder just because I'm a pack rat

Be sure to actually install the program (i.e. drag the app to your Applications folder). Some people think that simply running the program or dragging it to the dock installs it.
