I'm a new mac user, i was just wondering if i could delete the downloaded .dmg file after installing the program ?
like, on windows, you download the .exe file , install the software and then you can just delete this downloaded .exe file (unless you wanna keep it for back up!)

You can do whatever you want with it. I usually tend to store them in a Downloads folder just because I'm a pack rat
![]() Be sure to actually install the program (i.e. drag the app to your Applications folder). Some people think that simply running the program or dragging it to the dock installs it. ![]() June 2007 July 2009 |
