Ok so I recently installed Microsoft Office 2004, and in the install package was MSN messenger for the mac. But currently having a problem using it, and here is why.
I open the program, and it asks me for my username and password, i enter it, and a window pops up and it asks me if I would like to update to the new version to continue using MSN messenger. If i click no the program just shuts down. If i click yes it downloads a file to my desktop, called messenger.bin and it will only open up in my VLC player, why does it do this? and how do i update my current version of MSN messenger? I tried searching for an answer, but nada. hopefully this makes sense

Sounds like a typical Microsoft proceedure to me
do one of the following: download messenger manually from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloa...gnosysreq=True This will be a dmg disk file or don't use messenger at all - try Adium http://www.adiumx.com |
