I have searched all over, but I can't find something that will work.

I don't want to be able to open new appications, shutdown the computer, etc.....I just want to be able to 'go back', 'go forward', open a new tab, etc.....only gestures for navigation through Safari.

Any ideas??

By "gestures" do you mean keyboard shortcuts?

Mac users swear by their computers. PC users swear at their computers.

Ahhh....not sure. In Firefox and Opera (other maybe too), You can hold the right mouse button and draw and action (right to left; go back) or rock the buttons left (quick press right then left) to go back.

how about FlyGesture? I believe it allows you to program your own gestures.

http://flyingmeat.com/flygesture/

I've never used it, but I've used some of their other software (Acorn), and it's good.

I checked flygesture out, but not really what I need. Close, but not quite. FlyGesture wants you to press a hotkey before you perform the gesture. I just want to be able to right-click and hold it, then draw my gesture.

There must be some way to do it, I just can't find it.

Pimp My Safari: Cocoa Gestures 1.2

Quote:
Cocoa Gestures adds mouse gestures to any Cocoa program including Safari. Gestures allow you to execute functions in an application by clicking a mouse button (optionally with a modifier key pressed) and move the mouse in a certain pattern, for instance down to open a file. The gestures are represented by a combination of up, down, left and right motions.
maybe that's what you're looking for ?

And here you can still download the free version.
