Enabling sharing of an iPhoto library between users/computers on the same network involves these steps:

This first step only applies if you have the Firewall enabled. Otherwise move on to (b)

(a) Launch System Preferences ~> Sharing ~> and click on the Sharing Tab.
  • Click the padlock to unlock it if it's locked. An Admin Username + Password will be required.
  • In the central window, scroll down and tick the box nex to iPhoto Bonjour Sharing to enable it.
  • Click the Padlock again to lock your System Preferences. Quit the System Preferences
See below image.

(b) Launch iPhoto and open iPhoto's Preferences then click on Sharing.
  • click on the "Look for Shared Photos" & "Share my Photos"
  • select whether you want to share the entire library or choose from the selection of available Albums.
  • Give your Share a name
  • Select whether a password is required before another user can connect to your library.
See below image.

(c) Quit iPhoto and relaunch it and if you follow the above steps with each user that is to share your Library, then you will see their available Library in the Source column of your iPhoto app.

See below image.
