I'm new to this site and a new owner of a Mac. I play a good deal of poker, so I've been trying to play online. However, everytime I try to download the program to play my Mac tries opening it with quicktime. Then it tells me this file is not a movie. I have tryed every program possible and the only one I could get to work was Full Tilt. I can't get Full Tilt to work with my credit card though. I know for sure that if I got Poker Stars or Ultimate Bet to download, that my credit card would work. Any suggestions?

PokerStars is no longer able to accept cards from the US either. Their ability to do this went before Full Tilt's did.

Full Tilt is the only online poker site still accepting deposits from US customers that has software available for OS X that I'm aware of.
Without installing windows - PokerStars will run under Crossover Mac.
With Ultimate Bet, you're probably out of luck, they have not done any upgrading to their software since the G5 mac which required MS's Virtual PC for Mac. Don't know if that will run on an Intel Mac or not.

Keep track of PokerStars work on their Mac version at the link provided by ryan above.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.

pokerstars is working on a beta now. if you really want to deposit with a cc, than one option is, go to ur local grocery store (big name like jewel or dominicks) and purchase the "all access" visa gift card. once u purchase it, wait around 15-30 mins so it will activate and then deposit. of course there is a small fee for buying the giftcard.

I got addicted to pokerstars just before I gave up my pc and was dissapointed that they did not have a nac version for download. It;s good to hear they are working on one now.

However, Partypoker has a half decent "play anywhere" version the works well for the mac. It is not a download but does provide a good game.
I'm not sure how it works with cash as I only play for fun.

Hope this helps.
