Garageband '08 - Worth Upgrading?

I use garageband '06 to record my keyboard in stereo through the line in jack and then record my voice with the built-in mic on my macbook. Also, I occasionally use midi to record with garageband's built-in instruments. I'm trying to decide if upgrading to the new version is worth it for what I do. Will it make my recordings sound better? Most of the upgrades seem to be stuff like "magic garageband," which doesn't seem like stuff I would ever use...and I'm not too sure what the other upgrades mean...thanks for any input.

Has anyone had both and can point out the differences in plain english?

This probably isn't helpful, but if they put anything into garageband that they did into iPhoto 08 and iMovie 08, garageband will blow away the previous version. The iLife 08 suite kills the previous version. I really can't imagine a new version of garageband not doing the same. Otherwise why put out a new version?

Can you go to an Apple store and check it out?

Yeah I guess I'll check it out. I wish I could just buy garageband alone...but oh well.
