If you mean a client for downloading torrents, I find transmission the best, very simple drag & drop.

Transmission or Tomatoe Torrent I've found work the best. There was one other a lot of people mention but I can't remember the name and I haven't gotten around to trying it.

Xtorrent is everything good about Transmission (same engine) with lots of other goodies, like integrated search and RSS. But it's not free.

Agreed. Xtorrent is better than Transmission, but since it comes at a price, Transmission is teh shet.

To be fair, I have never tried LimeWire's implimentation of bittorrent. It's supposed to handle that now. Sounds interesting, at least. If it weren't so slow/bloated.

Another vote for Transmission here, especially since they now have implemented selective downloading.

[rant]
Xtorrent is based on an older version of Transmission's libraries - one that was licensed differently than the current one. Additionally, the library that Xtorrent uses is banned from many torrent trackers because of the way it handles things - so the core of the client is somewhat crippled. The guy who develops Xtorrent profits from the work of the free software community and doesn't contribute back.

In Xtorrent, he's taken an old busted-up vehicle and given it a paint job.
[/rant]

Use Transmission, donate to the project (if possible). It's all you'll need and it works great.

This is the one that I've heard such good things about that I haven't gotten around to trying.

It's written in Java so it's quite slow.

Transmission is lite, attractive, and easy.

Azureus is slow, ugly and complex... however it has a lot more features, is allowed on all trackers and is more mature.

I keep both installed, but stick to Transmission until I run into something I need Azureus for.

Xtorrent is nice, but it's shareware, and like a user above me pointed out, is based on old/otherwise free technology.
