anyone know of any good websites that offer a discount on software for college students? i found a couple yesterday, but i had never heard of the company before, and when it asked for my social security number (to confirm my student status) i figured it might be wise to find a company that people trust... any ideas?

Journey Ed is one of the largest and best college software sites out there.
Campus Tech is another good one. __________________________________________________ Posting and YOU|Forum Community Guidelines|The Apple Product Cycle|Forum Courtesy mac: a waterproof raincoat made of rubberized fabric MAC: a data communication protocol sub-layer, also known as the Media Access Control Mac: a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.

AcademicSuperstore.com is a good site. They just require you either email them a copy of your school ID or fax it to them, no need to give them an Social Security #. This is straight from their FAQ:
