MacBook - Itunes Gone and Macbook in Trouble?

Hey Im new here, I think this is the right section? Hopefully you can help.


I own a month old black macbook. Yesterday I restarted it so filevault could work. Then when it reloads my msn resets and goes back to entering the starting information. I do it and msn works. Then I go to itunes, its clear. I had 71.8 gb in it before i restarted. I tried important the itune librrary files, didnt work. The file said damanged. I dont want to reload each song, remake all my playlist and everything but I think I may have too. My question is can I fiz this, why did it happen and how do I aviod it. Any insite would be great. Also Transmission reset itself and I lost the torrent files running in it. Thanks for your help..
