I have some files that work properly on PC, but when I copy them over to my mac and now they only play a few seconds. One file (movie) that is roughly 1 1/2 hours long, stops around 20 seconds. Anyone have any ideas? I haven't changed anything that I can think of. Thanks in advance.

macs dont play well with avi files... you need to get a copy of flip4mac...

you could convert them to mp4... that may help....

I have flip4mac. I'll try to convert it and see what happens. It's weird because some files I played in QT before don't work anymore.

I noticed this happening to me the other week. I thought for some reason I didn't get the full file even though it showed the correct size for the file. Its really weird though as it only happened with a certain show. And even then it's not every file.

I second the VLC recommendation. As thats what I used to play those stubborn files.

Nothing worked so I'm just using VLC which works flawlessly. Thanks though.
