I've just added my documents folder to my daily backup and now when it runs, it just keeps uploading without stopping. As soon as its finished it goes back to the beginning and starts over again.

Any one else had this issue?

Wow, Sim! That's weird. Although I have set Backup to pick only my Keychain, Address Book and Safari settings/bookmarks for the backups. Could it be that your Documents folder is way too large and makes Backup bug out?

Firs thing I would try is trashing Backup's pref file. (Found here: Macintosh HD -> Users -> your user account -> Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.Backup.plist and see if that fixes it.

If not... Have you tried asking .Mac Support for help? They are quite nice and knowledgeable. And it would be cool of you to post back the solution if you ever do get one.

Hi MHC, I was just doing the same as you, keychains, etc, but thought, what the hey, I've got 10Gigs and I'm paying for it, so, I added about 5 1/2 gigs from my docs, so perhaps that is freaking it out. I'll go trash that prefs and see what happens.

Well, this is what it says on the .Mac page, so I'm going to let it run and see what happens.

The progress bar keeps repeating itself
Depending on the size of your backup and your backup destination, you may experience progress bar repetitions. Backup breaks large backups into segments, and the backup progress bar will repeat for each one of those segments. As long as the backup is running and has not stalled for several minutes, allow the backup to complete as normal.

I guess the solution is to avoid looking at the progress bar! LOL
