I really like the font Optima and Keynote presentations are great with it, but I have a small problem, since I am Croatian, I need to use some letters that are not so common like č,ć,đ (i don't know if you even see them displayed), is there any way to edit the preexisting letters c and d so I can continue to use this great font?

There are a few keyboard shortcuts that can priduce the letters you are after.
Option + c gives this ç And there are a few other options available by pressing "option" and "option + shift" at the same time as arious letters. Even try the numbers and symbol keys too. And if you after all thsi searching can't find that your after you can always edit the character palette in OS X to put in the characters you like. http://kb.iu.edu/data/anhf.html That site has a few examples and might help in explaining this to you. |

You can activate it by going to your System Preferences -> International -> Input Menu tab. And like the8thark says, using combinations of the Option and Shift + Option keys, you can get many letters/accents/symbols you thought you didn't have. The Keyboard Viewer helps you see what is where. Hope this helps.

thanks for the advice, but that doesn't really solve my problem. i have the letters č,ć,đ but they don't display correctly in the Optima font. they are significantly larger and bolder. I'm looking for a way to edit the letters c and d so that they resemble the letters č,ć,đ in that font.

For now, the only suggestion I can give is for you to use a font that does have Cyrillic in the set. Maybe someone else with more expertise in the matter can give better advice though. ![]() Edited to add: A search at MacUpdate brought these. Last edited by MacHeadCase; 08-19-2007 at 09:27 AM. |
