Since I am switching from a PC to a Mac, I don't know what messenger to use. I used an old version of AIM before along with DeadAim. I really don't like iChat so I was wondering if there are any other programs to use.

What does everyone on here use?

I use Adium, which can be found on www.versiontracker.com, as well as other cool pieces of software.

Other famous ones are aMSN, Fire, and Mercury Chat.

If you are switching from a PC, when have you used iChat before? I just recently switched and I always used the latest version of AIM. When I got my Mac my friend told me that iChat was much better and, quite frankly, it is. I am just curious, what do you not like about iChat?

If you chose to not be here, you may.

i am just really picky. i don't really like the blue bubbles in the conversation. :-/ and also how it sorts my buddy list. its dumb, i know, but i have just never really liked it. i am sure there are settings you can change and what not, but i think i will try out adium for a while.
