Love my G4 - hate Mail.

Does anyone have a view as to the best email client program
for Mac ?

I am heartily sick of Mail, with its quirky behaviour and the
utter inability of it to remember its column widths between
startups etc etc

Any advice very welcomed.

Thanks, guys.

I have no such issues with Mail and been using it for years now. Try Thunderbird by Mozilla. I love it on the PC and the OSX version is the same.

That is odd mine does not do that either. Only issue I have had is (occasionally) it will not load the entire message. If I mark it to forward then the message appears in full. I usually turn off the computer, turn in back on and it stops for awhile again.

Great. I'm looking at the Thunderbird package right now and
what I see, I'm impressed with, spec wise.

The migration from Mail 2.0 looks a bit of long-winded exercise but
I shall attempt it during this week.

Thanks for your help.

i would also advise thunderbird. i used it before i got my mac, but i've never heard of any of those issues with mail. i would suggest maybe reinstalling it off the os x disc... or just get thunderbird lol.
