MacBook - anti virus??

ok i've heard and know that there are none or little viruses known to mac but i want to be protected anyways! whats the best known piece of antivius software for mac? and i was wondering can't i use the batter charger as an ac adapter to use my comp with electricity and not battery or do i need to unplug the recharger and use it with the battery. do i need to buy something else or what?? help me out cause i would like to use an ac adapter when im at home.

anti virus - search google for mac anti virus (p.s. i know you want it but you dont really need it. if you really want one then get one just dont use norton)

ac adaptor - shut down your macbook completly. unplug the ac adaptor. take the battery off, store it in a room tempreture safe place idealy with only 50% charge - this helps the health of the battery whens its stored. Plug your ac adaptor back in and boot up. there you go you now have your macbook on and a battery that isnt constantly charged.

thank you. yeah i normaly do the google think but since this is a mac dedicated forum i thought i'd find some expert advise or something. wouldn't hurt anyways!

thanks for the info. is that recommended though? i dont want to be doing stuff just for my pleasure when it isnt recommended or usual.
