between azereus and transmission

transmission is better on a mac, am i correct?

Also, anyone know of a GOOD internet security suite for Mac?
I buy alot on-line and i dont want to be risk it

actually i prefer camino (firefox engine, but written in cocoa)

and i have always used azereus. i had it when i had a pc so i know how it works and have had no complaints, but i have yet to try transmission.

Hmm...it depends...you can't say: firefox is better than safari...I first was a hardcore firefox user when I switched a few months ago but now I use safari as my primary browser and FF as my secondary browser.
I suppose give safari a try before ignoring it...it is a pretty good browser and can be pimped like FF. Look here: www.pimpmysafari.com

To me Firefox is better simply because of the extensions (google sync, adblock, and screengrab), and the live bookmarks. I was going to switch to safari when I first got my Macbook, but when I see how Safari handles RSS feeds, I immediately downloaded Firefox.

I started using Safari right away when I got a mac, then I installed FFox and that became my primary browser. Then I tried Camino, and now it is my primary browser, I find it more pleasing to the eyes. It seems just as fast as either of the others. Apparently they made camino specifically for Mac's. I'm not really sure what that could mean except deep down it's more stable or ....?

Camino, yeah.

that's what I did too. I have yet to try Camino because I just love the extensions I have with Firefox (adblock for one like previously mentioned, and I'm getting very spoiled with all-in-one gestures). Does Camino use the same add-ons? Like, can I download a Firefox add-on and use it in Camino?

Camino is a Mozilla variant, so yes, Firefox extensions should be supported.

Not as far as I am concerned - I just switched back to Safari (but I did download and will try Camino for awhile to see how good it is.

A. No, and it never will. Firefox extensions rely on XUL (a user interface toolkit made by Mozilla) to interact with the user and draw their interface. Camino uses Cocoa (an interface toolkit made by Apple) and does not support XUL.

I don't understand why there is a Camino and a Firefox. They should be one in the same. All the 'Mac' of Camino and all the power of Firefox. Drives me nutty.

Yeah, but it's the fact that Firefox is XUL and not Cocoa that it can use all the add-ons, no?
If Firefox were what Camino is, then there would be no add-ons for Firefox (any Firefox).
There would need to be "add-ons for Mac OS X Firefox only" and "add-ons for Windows Firefox only."
In such a case, most likely, there would be lots of Windows add-ons and a good number of Mac OS X ones but not that many (which is basically the current case with Camino add-ons).

Which, in my opinion, would be bad.
I mean, I can imagine that many of the add-ons that I can't live without would probably not be available for the OS X version of Firefox if it had been that way.

All this to say: one of Firefox's strength is the fact that it's mostly the same on any platform. Even though this also means it will a little less OS X-like, it's something I'm willing to live with in order to get the same experience I can get on Windows Firefox.
