Hi everyone, I just had some questions about the application Smc Fan Control.
Im a big fan of games, especially call of duty 2. I usally play a couple of hours here and there on my Imac and I relize after some hours of gaming, my game just freezes or lags up. My mac is usally really hot after this and I think it might just be overheating so I downloaded smc and I have no idea what to set the controls too. ODD, HDD, and CPU are all at 800 minimum and the temperature is about 117 degrees F. I would like to mess around with it, but I dont want to damage anything. Thanks |

im pretty sure you can mess around with it because smcfancontrol never allows you to set it lower than the systems minimum. I pretty much just leave my fans at 2500 rpms when im surfining the internet, around 3500 when the laptop is on my lap, and kick it up to 5000 when im gonna play some games.
