Quick Time (latest version) does not work in Safar!

All Quick TIme windows are grayed out - some Quick Time windows have question marks. OS X with all software updates.

System preferences all set for Quick Time to be the default.

I've installed FireFox and get the same result.

Also deleted and reinstelled QuickTime several times, but no positive result.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

I have no issue with it. Did you repair permissions after updating Quicktime?

No I didn't - will do that now. Thanks for the reminder!

In the meantime, after some searching on the forum I believe I found the fix - turning off the Flash player. (Tried updating Flash to no avail)

Seems to be working OK now.

I've had the same problem since I downloaded and installed a Flash executable requested by a website.

I used Disk Utility to "repair permissions," but I still find Quicktime content on websites grayed out with a "?" over a "Q".

How do I find and turn off the Flash Player, as GlennK did?
QUOTE Thanks
