Is it possible to close your mac and still be logged into ichat?

I'm wondering the same thing because I leave up an away message but once my MBP goes to sleep (or the screensaver comes on) it seems to shutoff the airport card and disconect me from Adium.

get on www.macupdate.com or www.versiontracker.com and search insomniax or sleepless.

those both should do what you need.. keep in mind READ THE WARNINGS on these programs.. they can cause issues.
