Font Help Needed! Anyone have TransType Pro software?

I bought a font for a project and now see the Open Type format is not compatible with my older version of Illustrator (version 9, go ahead and laugh). I checked out TransType Pro which can convert Open Type to Postscript but the trial version creates an unusable, distorted font. I'm too poor to pay $180 for the full version which I'd rarely use.

Does anyone have TransType Pro, and would you be willing to do a couple mouse clicks and convert my font for me? I'm truly desperate and need to finish a project today (Sunday, July 8th). Thank you.....

Thankfully, I was provided a tip at another forum from Mike (at www.sketchpad.net) -- by loading the font into the Mac System Folder instead activating it in Suitcase, I am able to use the Open Type font in Illustrator. Yippee!
