I'm running Kubuntu through VMWare on my MacBook, and I only allocated 8gb of hard drive space initially. Is there any way to increase this? Thanks!

maybe ther's some way you can do this with Apple Boot Camp? You might have to reinstall Kubuntu with Boot Camp and backup youe files with an Ext. drive, (If kubuntu is PPC supported. otherwise i have no idea)

I used to have an open mind, but my brains kept falling out.

I am pretty sure that if you look at your hard drive options, you can increase it there (at least you can on Virtual PC). If that fails you should be able to make another hard drive and mount it.
