mercury messenger

anyone tried using , mercury messenger as msn , does it support video?

Yep, I've tried it, and it's supports video. Prefer Adium for messenger personally, but Mercury is worth having on your machine if you require a quick video chat.

i prefer amsn to mercury

I tried Mercury some time ago. Wouldn't let me log in. Also, I wasn't too keen on the skin and operation of the app. From my memory, it was very 'un-mac'. I'd say say Microsoft Messenger is more mac looking, and that's a big call

I'm with Liam on this. Adium, though limited with capabilities, does a far better job, and the customiseable features means it can always look fresh and new. I'll use aMSN occassionally if I need to chat to someone who only uses MSN, but that's not all that common. Generally, I think aMSN is overly complex. Using it for the first time was almost overwhelming. Skype and Yahoo are my two main webcam apps.
