Hi, I am new to the mac, but I am very happy with it. I would like to know how do I purge or delete all the info from iCal and my address book. I would appreciate any help on this matter.

Address book: Click on a contact. Press Command + A. Press Backspace. Confirm delete.

iCal: Create a fresh empty calendar (plus button bottom left). Select the other calendars and delete them one by one. You need to make an empty calendar because iCal needs at least one calendar at all times.
