    Downloading Java....
Well the software updates says I have the newest Java.

Some sites I go to and programs I use say that I don't have the newest Java. So I went directly to sun to download it. But when I go to the Java Website there is not even a download for a MAC. Is it just the Linux version?

I am sure you have the newest Java installed if your running Tiger. On the Sun site it says

    Mac Users
Java software can be directly downloaded from Apple.

What sites are you having trouble with?
