    Google Earth Opening Speed...
Does anyone here have Google Earth and, if so, how long does it take you to open it? It takes maybe 30 seconds on my Mac before I can do anything.

I timed mine, it takes 14 secs for me...thats from the moment I double click on the icon to when I can actually do anything with the program...this is about 5 times faster than it ever took on my PC BTW...

PowerMac G5 2.3 ghz 6.5 GB ram 20" cinema display ..15" Macbook Pro 2.33 Core 2 Duo 2 Gig RAM
Took about 24 seconds. I had also running at the time:

Mail, Safari, Firefox, Nikon Capture NX, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom.

So, it was not lightning fast...but not too slow.

New servers, much faster than before

I understand that you are actually downloading a complete Java app there, hence the delay.
