I am looking for an app that will allow me to play videos in full screen on a second monitor (HDTV). While my macbook pro is open and sitting on the desktop. Both QT pro and VLC don't seem to work, any ideas?

Thanks in advance

don't know what videos you're trying to play
Using my MBP, just tried a DVD using DVI to HDMI cable to my HDTV and both DVD Player and VLC do play in full screen mode while browsing the web on the MBP screen.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

in VLC just drag the controller to screen on which you want the video to play in full screen then enter full screen mode should work.
