Adium Font issues

I got Adiumx 1.0 and I changed my font to another color and clicked Save This Setting as My Default Font and the font changed for the first IM I sent. But then when I began typing again, the Font Changed Back to its old color. Could you help me fix this problem on my comp? Thanks in advance.

I would close the messages window after changing a setting like that, and then reopen it. Sometimes Adium needs a little time to think things over for itself.
