I am wanting to aquire Civilization 2 for my new MacBook, the game's system requirements are :

PowerPC running macOS 7.5.3 or higher (Mac OS 8 compatible)

Will it work with a intel processor and OS X Tiger?

Cheers

Ouch! I don't think so. You'd need OS 9 at best and OS 9 doesn't run on Intel-based Macs, not even under Rosetta.

The only thing you can do is get yourself an older Mac.

Doesn't sound too appealling.

I hear that Civ 4 runs choppy on a Macbook.
I presume it'll be the sme for mine (2ghz intel processor, 1gb RAM 120HD)

I think this post is a bit old, even though it's from Jan... I had the civ 4 demo on my laptop and it ran fine.

When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my Grandfather did; not screaming like all the passnegers in his car.
