All you would need to do is configure your GMail account in Mail, and then when you click on a person's email hyperlink, Mail will open and send your message via GMail. __________________________________________________ Posting and YOU|Forum Community Guidelines|The Apple Product Cycle|Forum Courtesy mac: a waterproof raincoat made of rubberized fabric MAC: a data communication protocol sub-layer, also known as the Media Access Control Mac: a brand name which covers several lines of personal computers designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc.

By the way, if you are using Firefox, you will need to do a little Firefox configuration to get this to happen. Firefox doesn't open your email program when you click on an email link unless you do a little set up. Here is a recipe for the setup:
1/ Go to your home directory's [Library, Application Support, Firefox, Profiles] folder and open your profile folder. It usually has a random-looking name, like Xbcgev.default. To be sure that you are in the correct directory check if a file named "prefs.js" exists 2/ If it doesn't already exist, create a file called "user.js" 3/ Open "user.js" and write this line (if the file already exists place this line at the end): user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.mailto","/usr/bin/thunderbird/thunderbird"); This example uses Mozilla Thunderbird at /usr/bin/thunderbird as the email program. Replace with your favorite email program and executable path. My Macs: iMac 27" 3.4 GHz, 4 Core, Mac Pro, 3.2 GHz 8 Core, PowerMac G5 Quad, 2.5 GHz, G4 Cube, 1.2 GHz Upgrade My iStuff: 32 GB iPhone 4, 30 GB iPod Video, 16 GB iPod Touch My OS': Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Leopard, Mac OS 8.6, openSUSE 10.3, Win XP I was on the Mac-Forums honor roll for September 2007 |
