Attention World of Warcraft players (ummm...that would be me too): The newest WoW patch that just came out supports multi-threaded Open GL for Intel Macs. (Via MacWorld):

Blizzard Entertainment has released an update to its massively multiplayer online role playing game World of Warcraft (WoW). The new 2.0.1 update is available for download from the WoW servers the next time you connect, and features a major performance improvement for Intel-based Mac users.

...

Other Mac specific improvements include better video hardware detection, disabled vertex animation shaders for Intel video-based systems, improved iTunes key-binding, a tutorial tips bug fix, audio code crash bug, improved support for Weather Shaders and support for changing the mouse sensitivity.
Yay! I'm for anything that raises my frame rates. Woot!

Sweet. I have been out of WoW for awhile, but I may get back into it when my new MBP comes in.

WOot ness. I wonder how it will affect framerates on Macbooks. There is another setting for vertex animation shaders to be disabled on Intel Video macs. Maybe more playable framerates.

And, as usual, not a light patch: 492 MB (1.12.x to 2.0.1).
