    Mail Attachments!
Is it possible that once you add an attachment, for them automatically appear as icons?! They appear as massive viewable documents which is quite frankly rather annoying when you're halfway through typing an email and one of these big things appears through a sentence of your text!

I'm not sure that this can be done using Mail. If it really bugs you big time you could try another mail client to find the one that suits your needs.

Depending on the version you use (I use Mail 2.1), you can right-click on the attachment and choose from the contextual menu View as Icon.

I briefly looked at the Mail Preferences and it doesn't seem like you can make this a permanent setting though, it seems to be on a case by case thing you have to manually set yourself. Maybe in Leopard's
