Hi need to know how to play avi movies in mac book pro quicktime.

hi i have not been able to play my films that worked on my PC they do not play in quicktime they are avi format i know maybe i need some codecs but don't know which or how to get them i am a newbie to macs and am slowly learning how to use it, thank you,

Mac Specs: 20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano

Should take care of getting almost all of the videos to work

That audio codec takes care of the cases where the video works but the audio doesnt
