I'm looking to backup some application CDs that may be used on my Windows machines in the future. As such, I'd like to rip a CD to an .iso file. Is that doable under OS X? If so, what applications do you guys use?

Cheers,
Aaron

Disk utility lets you create a disk image from any inserted CD. You an create compressed disk images (.dmg) or ISO images.

That's right. You drag the disk image icon into the list of devices, and a separator will appear with all the disk images you have dragged in under it. Select the one you want and click the big yellow and black burn button to go.
