I used Migration Assistant to transfer everything from my old G4 to my new IMac. When I went to click on a Word doc, it would open Word 2004 30 day test drive, which seems to have installed itself alongside my full licensed version of Word. I deleted the Test Drive version and changed all doc files to open with the correct, full version of Word. Now when I double click on any doc file I get:

Operation could not be completed. An unexpected error occurred -10660.

The files open fine if I start Word and open a doc file from in the program.

Select a word file and hit apple+i to 'get info'.

Then under open with, select open with 'other' and pick out your working version of word.

Then hit 'apply to all' to make this work for all word files.

Test to see if it works now.
