new to mac need to know the best programs

hi there iv got a mac after 7years on a pc i got a g3 350mhz im running 10.2.3 osx on it i want to know whats the best programs for editing photos and what office can i run on this system ??

Any Office program will work.
Gimp or Photoshop for image editing

Gimp is great for a free program.I use it but it takes some learning.
