Can't drag formatting palette in excel

I am using Excel Mac in Office 2004 and for some strange reason, I can't drag/move the formatting palette.. I have tried clicking and dragging all over the window but it won't move! Is there a setting somewhere that locks the position of the palette?

try hiding it and bringing it out again. If that doesn't work, restart the app/computer. Just today, there was an Office update - this may help the problem. If you have auto update on for office it should pick it up.
