iChat 3.1.5 (440) - Getting Growl Messages Despite User No Longer on Buddy List

This may be more of a Growl issue, than iChat, but at the same time, Growl must be getting the status passed from iChat, so I'm posting here.

I removed a buddy from my Buddy List, but still see away status messages pop (via Growl) when he "goes away". Any suggestions? Thanks!

Operator error. I forgot that I had configured a Gmail account via Jabber. The contact in question was a Gmail contact. :p
