Pages and Retrun Button

How come when I hit enter/return at the end of a line in pages it goes down two lines instead of one? For example:

In word:

This is a test sentence. (I would hit enter)
(I would end up here)

In Pages:

This is a test sentence. (I would hit enter)

(I would end up here)

Sorry for the stupid post. I figured it out. You go to inspector, and then navigate to text options and then "more" and then make sure the style is "free form" instead of whatever it was.
