Garageband FRUSTRATIONS?

Ok, so I am trying to record my piano with garageband, but I don't have the MIDI cables, so I was trying to use the audio Line Out on the Macbook to connect to the headphone port on the keyboard, as this is how I record using Audacity.

However, it keeps recording from the internal mic! Why??

On Audacity, it records fine this way, and it should do the same on Garageband according to the tutorial, but I can't get it to record off the line-out... ONLY the internal mic!

Help please!

It never mentions keyboard being able to connect to the audio input... it isnt only limited to USB keyboards is it?

It mentions that you need either a USB or FireWire Audio Interface. Have you added your keyboard using the Add Device option in the Applications/Utilities/Midi Devices tab/Audio MIDI Setup?
