Ok this is a funny story somewhat.....my parents who are pretty much computer illiterate asked me to help them pick out a new laptop a few months ago since their old toshiba satellite running Windows ME (BARF!) is slower than molasses. So I ordered them an iBook G4 a few months ago and they really haven't used it at all. The reason? My mom loves Spider Solitaire and I can't find it for OS X.

I keep telling her I'm going ot have an intervention and force her to learn the iBook but she says she has to have her solitaire! Anyone know some good solitaire apps for os x so I can finally dump their POS toshiba?

The best looking solitaire app I have seen is Solitaire XL. As for Spider solitaire, I don't know of any freeware versions but there are a couple shareware versions on versiontracker

This is the only game I play Solitaire Till Dawn X, other than word games.

yeah whenever you want to find software I would search macupdate

http://www.macupdate.com

A quick way of searching for the software you want would be to put in the url and then after the domain put in the search word.. so like this:

http://www.macupdate.com/solitaire

Solitaire Till Dawn X has a version of Spider Solitaire in it. It costs a little but it has a lot of different solitaire games and looks and works great.
