I'm having a problem with DVD Player (on every DVD I play), where the subtitles will not turn off. I click the subtitle button until it says 'subtitles off' on the upper left corner, but yet it still shows the subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Anybody know how to fix this?

Yes these are all legally purchased DVDs. As for VLC, I haven't tried it...I'd prefer to just play them in DVD Player.

Actually, I think you'll find VLC is MUCH better to play DVDs.

Or, better yet... open Handbrake, and configure everything so you're ripping it without subtitles. Open it in quicktime. Do the subtitles still show up when you play it?

the back of our computer looks better than the front of theirs
