I have an intermittant fault with Photoshop and Illustrator CS2. Every couple of months or so they both refuse to open or save documents. The beach ball spins and I have to leave them overnight before I turn up the next morning and they've managed to open or save. A few days or a couple of weeks later I try and it's fine.

I've tried:

Trashing prefs
Rebuilding permissions
Deactivating all fonts
Updating Quicktime
Changing scratch disks
Having no other programs open
Font Finagler
Reinstalling

CS1 is unaffected and I have to use that in the meantime. I'm on OS 10.4.7, on a PowerMac G4 with 640mb RAM. I've installed updates for both Illustrator and PS.

Fixed it after 3 months. Hidden in the depths of the internet (nothing on Adobe's site) I found there's a bug which corrupts the com.adobe.mediabrowser.plist file. Deleting it fixed the problem :dive:
