Well it's sort of hard to tell you what to do then. Just do a search on the forums and hopefully someone else's solution will help you.

    2. If they still wont play, use DivxDoctor - http://www.3ivx.com/divxdoctor/

There is VLC Media Player. You can use that. There was a thread telling all the formats that VLC could play but i can't seem to find that. But just get VLC Media Player from VERSION TRACKER and it will do the job.

This may soudn funny, but after I installed VLC and rebooted once or twice AVI files that USED TO not play in Quicktime did. Maybe give it a try now that VLC perhaps gave you the proper audio codecs.

    interesting logan.

my thoughts are that you installed some codecs that needed a restart in order to operate properly and you didnt restart until after you installed vlc......

VLC could work, or you could convert them into .mp4 using iSquint.
the back of our computer looks better than the front of theirs

Here's a simple codec that you just install. It will allow you to play video files in Quicktime and it's free!!

    http://www.xvidmovies.com/mac/

    Works perfectly on my MacBook.
