Using second monitor for gaming on a Macbook

I have gotten several games to work on my MacBook (WoW, Morrowind, RCT3, etc.) but I was wondering how I could get the games to play on my external monitor. I'm not looking to use both monitors at once, I just want to play games using my second, larger screen. How should I go about setting this up?
