    Formating software
A friend of mine is setting up an external drive for a Mac and is moving data off a PC. The disc will initially be formatted FAT-32 but he wants to reformat it to HFS once he done with the PC side. AFAIK there is no Mac software that will reformat/partition on the fly without him having to whack the drive, back everything up and reformat.

Anyone know of any that I am unaware of?

Agreed. I very much miss PM on the Mac side.

There is some PM like software for the Mac but I have not tried it. I posted a URL to it here on MF a while back. Will try and find it.

    Edit: Found the Thread.

Micromat makes a formating program called DiskStudio that creates/modifys partitions non-destructively: http://www.micromat.com/index.php?op...d=33&Itemid=54.
